Salil Parekh

Salil is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys since January 2018. Infosys is a global IT services company serving 1,800 clients with 340,000 employees, with operations in 50 countries, listed on the NYSE and Indian stock exchange NSE.

Salil helped set the strategy of the company to focus on digital transformation and cloud services and has driven its execution. The growth of the company has increased from 5% before Salil joined to 20% in the previous financial year.

Salil works with several client leaders directly to help them put in place and execute their digital transformation programs. Examples include a leading global automotive company, a leading mutual fund company, and a leading telecommunication company, among others.

Prior to this role, Salil was at Capgemini and Capgemini Ernst & Young for 25 years, most recently leading the North America, UK, Asia business, the Cloud Infrastructure business, and the Sogeti business. Salil helped turn around of the North America business and the scaling up of the India operations.

Salil holds Masters of Engineering degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelors of Technology degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
